Jacob has 14 years of experience in environmental health and safety consulting with particular emphasis in occupational exposure assessment and exposure reconstruction. He is a Principal and co-founder of RHP Risk Management and is also credentialed by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). His education includes a B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from Benedictine University.
Jacob has a broad-based knowledge of exposure assessment and exposure reconstruction principles, which he applies within the paradigm of risk analysis. He integrates evolving methods and tools into his practice, such as the application of mathematical modeling, Bayesian statistics and stochastic analysis to consider uncertainty in decisionmaking processes. Jacob has consulted on highstakes projects, which underpin the foundation of riskbased decisions made by multinational companies in the fields of semiconductor manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, railroading, healthcare, facilities management, Legionellosis risk management, and oil and gas, among others. Jacob has completed projects throughout the US and abroad, including work in Mexico, Australia, and Brazil. He has been an active member on the Chicago AIHA Board of Directors since 2008 and served as President from 2014-2015.
